How to Visit an Orthodox Church
Step 1: When to Go?
Orthodox Christians have a lot of services: Vespers, Orthros, Akathists, Divine Liturgy; it can get a little confusing.
But if you’ve never visited an Orthodox Church the best time to attend is The Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning. The Liturgy is the beating heart of the life of the Church. An ancient practice, it gives a rhythm to life and a deep abiding reminder of the source of that life: Jesus Christ.
Also, after The Liturgy we have fellowship, which is a chance to get to know the parish and get some of your questions answered (with coffee if you want some).
However, if Sunday morning is not ideal, we have the Divine Liturgy many times throughout the week, as well as other services where you can visit and experience the ancient faith.
Step 2: Where to Go?
We are located at 298 Bert St. in Delta, Colorado.
We are just West of the Delta Cemetary, on the corner of 3rd St. and Bert St.
Our Church is a dark red with a small traditional onion dome. Look for the bells and flowers around our church!
Step 3: See you Soon!
There is a lot that happens during Orthodox services. To help you get ready, this article might help: 12 Things I wish I had Known.
