How to Visit an Orthodox Church

Step 1: When to Go?

Orthodox Christians have a lot of services: Vespers, Hours, Akathists, Divine Liturgy; it can get a little confusing.

But if you’ve never visited an Orthodox Church, the best time to attend is the Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning. The Liturgy is the beating heart of the life of the Church. An ancient practice, it gives a rhythm to life and deep, abiding contact with the source of that life: Jesus Christ.

Also, after the Sunday Liturgy we have a fellowship hour, with coffee and lunch, which offers a chance to get to know the people in the parish, and to get some questions answered.

We also celebrate the Divine Liturgy at other times throughout the week, as well as hold other services–you are welcome to visit and experience the ancient faith at any of them. Check the parish calendar for more details!

Step 2: Where to Go?

We are located at 298 Bert St. in Delta, Colorado.

We are just West of the Delta Cemetery, on the corner of 3rd St. and Bert St.

Our Church is a tan with a small traditional onion dome. Look for the bells and flowers around our church!

Step 3: See you Soon!

A lot happens during Orthodox services.
